Re: DH is doing a very risky job right now...
Quote:
Last night he did a night shift, just got home 15 minutes ago... He had to go down in the hole again, but to be on standby for a mechanic who can't weld. He said he had to wear his respirator for the full 13.5 hour shift because there was a conveyor belt going over his head with dust and debris falling down the whole time. Ugh, what a job! I feel like a selfish pimp, I wish I could earn more so he didn't have to do it, but I know it wouldn't be enough to support us all.

Re: DH is doing a very risky job right now...
Uggg DH hates wearing a respirator! Makes the skin around his mouth very irritated no matter what kinds he uses. Don't know why?
DH also says he is a pyro He actually started with blacksmithing and taught himself to weld. It's kinda his life. Now he makes cranes but hopes to start his own business in the future. I am trying my best to make more money so he doesn't have to do his yuck job anymore (his does not pay what the one your DH is doing by any stretch I don't think), but that was always our "plan". It's not working so far but I am trying....I hope they finish the job soon b/c that is really intense. I really do know what you are feeling though, DH has done some crazy stuff in the past and I just can't for them to be over when he does them. I just have to try to keep my mind off of it and not watch the news. Sending good vibes your way!
