can anyone share pics of flips on newbies?

Ive got quite a collection of flips growing ,which is a feat for me seeing as how im a fitted and wool kinda girl ,but that being said,we live in Southern TN and it's wicked humid and hot so i'd like to try to steer away from wool on Decky all summer for his sake kwim? so i'm hoping I can stay with the flips , cause he can go in just a diaper/shirt around the yard/house and can wear regular cotton/denim shorts so hopefully he wont be so hot

but we are TTC and I know they are "OS" but are they really? anyone have a teeny one in flips? got pics?

I have heard they're a bit poofy on a little bitty baby, I have two and I'll be able to post pics in a week or so when the baby arrives if nobody has pics.

Not the best picture, but

He was only about 7lbs there (so shouldn't even fit) and it was still a little big in the legs, but probably would have worked. I didn't try it though. But you get the idea of how big it is anyway.

thank you mama2luke, so you'd say probably about a 2/3m old they'd start fitting? .. i'd just love to find something that would be as true to a OS that i can lol

My littlest is 2 months old and started wearing the Flips around 7 weeks (when I got them they may have fit earlier) ... I would look at the Thirsties Duo AI2 we used the thirsties duo cover from birth and it was my favorite over everything else we had .. i will only have Thirsties Duo Size 1 for any future babies

I'd guess they'd fit most babies before then. I just have skinny fellas. The fit on him at 7 lbs was actually really close to fitting, no large gaps at the legs or anything but I just didn't think the legs were quite snug enough for the EBF blowouts that sometimes happen. I didn't keep the cover because I tried it on my toddler and didn't like the fit, so can't say for sure about when it would have started fitting my little guy, buy I'd guess maybe 9lbs in our case. And I know my guys are built long and lean (5-25% for weight, 75% for height) so I think Cotton Babies claims of it fitting down to 7lbs aren't unreasonable.

The pp mentioning the duo diapers are probably a great idea too! I've heard nothing but great things about those as a 2 size option.

With my NB I used thirstie duos size 1 and prefolds. They fit really well, but didn't last long, she outgrew them super quick!

Also right now I have some flip covers and I really couldn't imagine them on a small baby!

thank you! All these bitty babies are making me anxious for him to get here. We're expecting him to be around 8-9lbs so I'll try it out for ya.
