Favorite children's storage units?

I'm looking for storage for my DD's room. I've been looking at the Ikea Trofast storage. Does anyone have any experience with this storage system? Do you like it?

Any other storage units that you like for children? Something sturdy (I'm sure DD will climb on it) Versatile is a plus too. I need storage for everything from books, to art supplies, hair accessories, dollies and clothes and stuffies.

Really? No one has any thoughts or opinions on storage for kid's rooms?

Re: Favorite children's storage units?

We have 3 Trofast units! We have the stairstep one, and 2 of the short vertical ones, all in the wood color because it seemed stronger than the white. Kids LOVE them, Iguess it's easier to find specific toys, and they also like carrying the bins to where they are playing!

Re: Favorite children's storage units?

I like the ones that hold the fabric cubes - reasonably priced - have our son's cloth diapers in them and later we can use it for other stuff.

We also have 4 of these for toys, books and other stuff... they are nice as they aren't big, can easily be moved, etc. I just didn't like they charge extra for lids so they aren't that cheap. but they also have little wheels on the bottom that is kinda cool and they stack.

Re: Favorite children's storage units?

We have the trofast system in the kids rooms and after 9 years trying to find decent storage for their toys, I finally fell in love with them! They are awesome!

On a side note, the stairstep one encourages climbing and dd did that last week. She fell and gashed her ribs on the corner of it on the way down and required stitches.
