My twins are 15 months and I would like to start weaning the bottle. Right now they only get a bottle for nap and bedtime. They also get one in the morning, which they really don't need but I for some reason give it to them. (sigh) I have tried giving them their milk in a sippy cup and they take a sip make a face and throw the cup. They get water during the day in their cups. They get that when they eat and there is always a cup around for them to drink when they want to. They do not get juice, only water.

How can I get them to drink milk from the cup? I am afraid if I take their bottles they won't drink milk. I know they are getting nutrients from solids, but I feel they still need that calcium from the milk.

HELP!!

Do they like yogurt, cheese, salmon, spinach, white beans, broccoli, peas or almonds?

If they get enough calcium from those (or other) foods, you don't need to push milk. DS refused cow milk until he was about 20 months old, and then suddenly he loved it.

I would just eliminate the bottle if you don't want them to have it, they don't NEED milk

My kids have NEVER drank milk they get there dairy/calcium from other sources.

it's just so strange... they drink milk in the bottle.. but not the cup.

boys wouldnt drink milk from a cup either...the LO actually threw the cup at me and screamed BOTTLE!
