You should be focusing all your efforts on finding someplace new to live.
If you don't have a lease signed by both party s you don't have much to go on. Even if you pursue a case against them and win, you are still homeless unless you find a new apartment now. It could take months or years and will not solve the real problem, that you need a new place.
