Re: Anyone's kid not night-train until they were older?

I always thought it was kind of funny that being dry all night was a sign of readiness to PL during the day. Then she still wouldn't be PLed! Both my girls day PLed much earlier than night, but dd2 looks like she will be faster at mastering it than her big sister. Dd1 just sleeps so heavily.

Re: Anyone's kid not night-train until they were older?

My oldest was 4 1/2 before she stayed dry at night. My ydd is 5yrs 3mos and still pees a lot every single night. She has been dry two nights in her whole life.

DD will be 5 in July and in Kindy this fall too, and she wears pullups to bed. She's been PL'd since 2 but if she goes to bed in undies she soaks the bed, and doesn't even wake up.

Re: Anyone's kid not night-train until they were older?

probably more than half the kids in her class still have accidents occasionally so i dont think they'll tease her. they would just laugh at the word "pee" in general. haha i love kids at that age. i nanny for one kid who just finally night trained completely at 9. it took a pee alarm and everything. one of his brothers is almost 4 and mostly night trained. every kid is different, but they all do it when theyre ready. she will get there, just make sure she'd empowered and not embarassed.

Wow I never would have thought that my kids being PL'd at day and night at the same time was so rare. But my first son had just turned 4 before he was PL'd day or night.

I do know that it's more commen than most people even realize, and I'm sure she won't be the only one in her class with that problem.
