My Mood:
Re: MAJOR sleep issues with my 9 month old

My DS had the same issues. What worked for us is putting him in a playpen in the room next to ours so he can hear us and knows we are close, I wouldn't have to keep going all the way upstairs for wakenings, and if after he's be fed, changed, etc, and/or he's not crying, I can hear him if he starts. We also put a lovey in the bed with him (I know, I know), but it's small and he can do something if he's fidgetey. I also keep the lights low, but not off so he can look around. These things work for us and if he is up half the night, at least he's safe and he can make up the sleep during his naps or the following night. We do not co-sleep because DH is up all night when we do that, and it's not an option.
