free shorties pattern, which one easiest for grandma?
My grandma in law is going to make some shorties for our babe. I want to give her a pattern this week and know NOTHING about knitting. can someone please tell me which pattern will be ok for her to use? I have the link of http://www.baababynaturals.com/pages/makeyourown.php#1 but need to know what is easiest for an 80 yr old.
she knits alot. BTW, she thinks they don't make wool yarn anymore (ha ha) anyway, please let me know a direct name of a pattern. I gave her doodlepants for now but it did not have all the info she was used to and she seemed kind of confused. (it did not have yarn size or needle info?) the idea of a shortie I like is this (I copied it from someones post... I loved it!) see attatchment below thanks!

Re: free shorties pattern, which one easiest for grandma?
I'd vote for the Doodlepants
Maybe you could help your Grandma by measuring your baby and figuring out the numbers that you need to plug into the pattern. That could be what's confusing her. I know that about 88 stitches around is typical for a medium - depending on how she knits. ETA - I'd recommend "size 7" circular needles for that pattern, and you can get Patons Merino wool at a local craft store.
