Re: Walking and talking.
DS1 is 5 and DS2 is 2 yrs 8 months. Both walked first. DS3 is already more verbal at 5 months than his brothers were at this age... so we'll see how it plays out this time
![]() I have also heard that statistically speaking, boys walk first and talk later, while girls talk first and walk a little later than boys. God bless!

Re: Walking and talking.
I had one of each
DS talked/babbled a lot starting at about 8 months, started crawling around the same time, and didn't walk until he was 13 months old. Around the time he started walking, he completely stopped talking except for saying momma, daddy, and dog...he started speech therapy when he was around 17 months old because his speech wasn't picking back up. DD started walking between 8 and 9 months old, but didn't really start talking until she was about 15 months old or so...and even then, she preferred to shriek at the top of her lungs instead of talking. She turned two at the beginning of June and is just now really starting to talk on a consistent basis.

Re: Walking and talking.
Sounds typical! Mine was a huge talker but late on most of her physical milestones.

Re: Walking and talking.
DD was fully walking by the time she was 11mo. I don't think she opened her mouth til she was 18mo. And she still hardly talks at almost 2.5, she can't put two words together, still in the babbling stage. She understands everything perfectly though, just can't talk, lol.
