*UPDATE* Prayers for my sis!

*Update* She had a successful VBAC after an induction due to high blood pressure. This morning, she gave birth to a beautiful 6 lb. 8 oz. baby boy! We're over the moon. Her bf has been marginally better lately... he seems like he's really trying. I just hope he can keep it up!

Thanks so much, mamas. I really think your prayers helped!

My darling sister is 37 weeks pregnant with her 2nd little boy! We're so excited for her, but she's having a tough time.

Her bf is rather emotionally abusive and very distant. He makes her feel unappreciated and unloved and doesn't lift a finger around the house or with their older DS. He doesn't, and won't, work. By all outward appearances he's a really great guy, but my sister has been on this roller coaster with them since they met. It's such a long story and I don't have it in me to type it all right now. Forgive me.

Anyway, they're broke. She's on disability because of the pregnancy and he doesn't work at all, so things are tight. Their almost 4-year-old DS (my fantastic, awesome nephew) is a handful. Their bills are stacking up and it's just a mess.

But what I really hope for her is that she can have a safe, healthy VBAC. The recovery from a c-section in the situation she's in, not to mention the extra time off from work, would really make things a lot worse. She's terrified of another c-section, as now she knows how horrible the recovery can be... she also had a really tough time breastfeeding because she was so uncomfortable and it was hard to get her DS to latch. So she really wants to be able to have her VBAC and to breastfeed. And I really want it to work out for her. Her OB acts like he's all VBAC friendly, but I don't like him and don't trust him as he was the one who induced her, leading to her first c-section.

Keeping her in your prayers would mean the world to me.
Thanks.

Re: Prayers for my sis!

Just wanted you to know that you and your family are in my prayers.

I'm sure you are doing this but be sure to let your sister know that you love and support her whatever her decision but you're door in always open. I saw you mentioned her boyfriend was abusive and while she might not be ready to leave him now it might help to know that she has a place to go if she should change her mind. (BTDT!)
