Loving Touch Wet Bags

Re: *Wednesday Sept 8.10**
Thanks ladies for all the gl. It's going well so far! I feel a bit more relaxed too! We just got done with homeschooling and we read Dumbo afterward, but they're all laying down watching Max & Ruby. Normally there's always someone up and about, but everyone is chilling right now. It's nice!
Korin-- people stole your trash can?! Seriously?! I would be so mad!! lol We're such opposites though! I would prefer to shop online! I hate shopping at the mall or stores! It takes too much energy when I'm pregnant!

My you guys were chatty while I was away. Probably more posts while I did this one. I thought there would be puddles out since it's been rainy, but there were none.....maybe later or tomorrow. Bray had his boots on and looked so freaking cute. It was nice to go on a leisurely walk with him. I find walking to be getting more difficult as I am getting more uncomfortable, which stinks because my fat a** needs it. Anyone else love their husband dearly, but thinks that maybe they aren't the soulmate you once thought they were?? Like maybe there is someone out there that IS the perfect compliment?? I hate feeling that way, but it's the truth. Man I wish I could go to counseling more that 2X a month....i really need it, but can't afford it. Booo |

Re: *Wednesday Sept 8.10**
cecili! Does he feel the same way? there are some great books out there that are for married couples....Focus on the Family by Dr. James Dodson (spelling) i have heard are EXCELLENT! we have not read them ourselves, though....maybe you can both read a book series for time together, and strengthen your marriage also! There is also a group called Marriage Encounter that my parents went to...it really helped them out!

Have you ever heard of SPICE? its an acronym that is used to help especially when planning a date night. Your marriage needs to have SPICE all the time to thrive.... Spiritual ~ prayering together (going to church together, prayers at bedtime, before meals. Physical ~NOT always DTD, but holding hands, back rubs, etc... Intellectual~TALKING if we cant find things to talk about, i read a passage from "sex, love and marriage by Christopher West"..always something to talk about after that! ![]() Creativity~ leaving messages, planning a special date night where you plan everything for what HE wants, and vice versa Emotional~ being interested in each other's day..learning what he does at work, so he can talk about it, Roger knowing that when i say "yeah, i'm fine" doesn't always mean that I really am. This might sound hokey, but if you can get him to sit down for a heart to heart, tell him how you feel, and tell him you would like to try a few of these things, it MIGHT help a little? you write them down and put them on the fridge. the letters are supposed to be arranged on a wheel (like a pie chart) with each section equal to remind you that each part is as important as the next...not one should be too large, or too small.just an idea....you can throw it out the window, or laugh if you want....you won't hurt my feelings. It just what Roger and I do.

Re: *Wednesday Sept 8.10**
Heather - glad your day is going well! so happy to hear that, especially after a rough start!
Katie - 2.5 inches in like 3 months?? that's nuts! Hope you can get the vax stuff figured out! Thiele - have fun on the date with your DD, sounds really sweet. Alisha - FX for fluffy mail! GL with cleaning too!! DD just went down for a nap, so now I'm on here trying to decide if I should clean now, or take a nap and try to recoup my losses from last night's 3 hours of sleep... hehe, not quite sure which to choose! Korin - Stole your trash can?? that's just weird... I had to laugh, one of the games my DH likes is Call of Duty too, but I like it too and the funny thing is, he'd MUCH rather play with me than online with friends even, the only times he plays games solo on xbox is when I want to knit, and then I'm still sitting by him anyway. I've even recruited a couple of other wives of DHs friends to play, so we'll have game nights with friends where that's what we do, guys and gals all playing a war game. I know... I'm weird but hey, I've started to get pretty good and nothing's much more fun than killing your soldier husband in a war game every once in a while!!Cecili - There's a DVD series called Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage by Mark Gungor that's absolutely hysterical, and very good material too, but it doesn't feel like torture to sit and watch it kwim? We use it for our marriage retreats with the army and have yet to have anyone say anything negative, and we've had well over 60 couples in our unit alone who have seen it, not to mention the other units that I know that have used it, it's always well-received, with people laughing like crazy... might be something that would be more palatable to him? I don't know, I can't get mine to read either, so I just do it, at least it helps my attitude, lol There's also the Love Dare, that's pretty much one-sided so you read it and it has ways to treat your husband to eventually affect a response out of him. The movie Fireproof is based off of it, good movie too. I know it can be rough sometimes!

We've seen the Love Dare movie and I checked the book out, but it lacked soemthing for me, not sure what. I know money is tight, but if I can fine another strategy board game that is perfect for two players, maybe I can get him to splurge so we have something Different to do!! Things were going great this weekend with DTD 3X, but then they just fizzled. ![]() I'll keep working on it.........as usual. So I got a call about my appt tomorrow. She gave me an est. total of $240 for the office consult and said insurance covers the U/S, but I told her I hadn't met my deductible yet so It maybe more more like $450. UGH. Look!!! More medical bills. And our pics are next wednesday and that's $200. I swear he's deivorce me if it weren't for the child support. Thankfully we can get on a payment plan!! Christina!!!! I'm glad you made there and back safe!!! sorry the kiddos got sick, but only 13 more days and you're a family again!!!! |

Re: *Wednesday Sept 8.10**
OK I'm back. I just read through all the chat threads and can't remember anything I wanted to say
Suffice it to say, I've missed you all but at the same time I had a great time with my DH. Which only made leaving him there that much harder. I cried for the first 10-15 minutes after I dropped him off at his barracks and he told me later that he wanted to run after the car. I can't wait for him to be home. I just hope he doesn't come home just to be immediately deployed. FX that the person who met with him a couple weeks ago and told him that he would only be at ft stewart for a few weeks before getting sent to CA for 2 months of training then getting deployed is able to do what he said he'd try to do (put dh in a batallion that isn't scheduled to deploy immediately). Kealii, I'm so glad your DH is coming home tomorrow. I know you can't wait. Maybe your dd will be asleep by the time he gets home so you can spend a little time just the 2 of you. As far as non DTD stuff dh and I do together, I think most of our stuff has already been said. We watch movies when the kids are in bed, sometimes dh finds some music we both like and we dance to it (not that either of us actually know HOW to dance, but we dance together anyways), we give each other backrubs, wash each other in the shower. Sometimes we just sit and talk. We did very little of that during our 4 day weekend, though. The girls took a nap every day and dh and I had that time for together time and after they were asleep we stayed up for hours. . . but we just spent that time catching up on DTD And I was SOOOOO sore. I tried the witch hazel pads. IDK if they helped or not. After 6 weeks w/o dtd and looking ahead to 2 more weeks w/o, there was NO WAY I was letting something like soreness stop us LOL. It was a GREAT couple of days. We took the kids swimming, to LOL (OK's Chucky Cheese), putput golf, and bowling. We all had a blast and it was nice and relaxing. The driving on the other hand, not so much. On the way there, we got lost in Dallas, TX during rushour traffic, in the middle of a thunderstorm with cruddy windshield wipers. . . On the way back, Addy started barfing, Evie (my PLed 3 yo) pooped her pants and they were soaked with diarrhea from bum to cuffs. I had to give her a shower in one of those trucker showers LOL. Then I killed my battery while trying to take a nap (running AC w/o the car being on is a bad idea) and had to get jumped off. Addy barfed the whole way home then started coughing. Last night we got home at midnight and she's been having nosebleeds all day. My gma told her to lay on her back when she had one so tons of blood drained into her stomach, so she's been barfing that all day (part of it is on my carpet ). She hasn't eaten anything worth mentioning in the past 2 days. I'm hoping she will be better soon. I hate seeing her just sit there quietly with that sick look on her face ![]() Other than dealing with sickies, I've been making a grocery list and doing laundry all day. I haven't knit in over a week, so I'm sure I'll pick that back up tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great week.

Re: *Wednesday Sept 8.10**
Christina - welcome back!! Been waiting to hear how your weekend went and I'm so glad it went well. SS for the sick kiddos though... praying that they get better soon! Thankful it didn't happen until you were on your way home and not to hamper your weekend. Also praying that your DH doesn't get put in a unit that's deploying! As for my DH coming home, we have a buddy of his and his new wife coming to visit, and they're gonna be here a few hours before DH does, LOL. Luckily, these people are VERY easy houseguests, so I'm not too concerned, though the timing does suck a little, hehe. It's only been 3.5 weeks... that's not TOO long
for only 2 more weeks for you!!!!!!

for having DS at work! that's great!
We go on walks as a fam and also really like to play cards and board games and such. I try to interest or involve myself in some of the things he enjoys so that when it comes time for something I want, I can "use that against him" in a nice way
I had them stay in their room until 8 though. I *need* time to wake up by myself before people start demanding things of me.
not with racing, but other stuff....we do the same things! I learned how to play his favorite card games, and he will chill and watch a movie with me (he hates movies, i love them....i like cards, just not his have-to-be-a-brainiac-to-remember-all-the-rules games)
we also spend time walking around a park or going to local free attractions (think museums, riverwalks, etc) We also got into the same tv show (chuck) so that is entertaining because we talk about it afterwards. oh, and i have also learned teh rules of football, and even know some of the player's names
last night...and i had contractions the rest of the night,
so it looks like another lazy day for me today so that i don't set them off again!
so, dr isn't worried, so neither am I !
vaccines again....what a mess to sort through what to do with those!!!! I'm going ot do some research on MMR, and then I'll post a new thread for opinions on our ddc...i would like your ladies' input, but i want some datat to back what dr. told me first. its hard, 'cause my family is all for vaccines. I'm all for SOME, but not ALL!!!
really ? we live in a really nice neighborhood.. wtf! I am just at a loss of words.. its stupid.. but im so annoyed over it! lol
sounds like you have quite the full house of kiddos.. take a breather.. and i know how you feel. Im tired of yelling at ds.. seems like he wants me to yell at him sometimes!!
for the trashcan issue. i love the red ring of death, but unfortunately, the stupid Xbox isn't the issue this time.
