Re: perfect dipe for my SIL (convenience important!)?

I say Fuzzibunz! Can't beat them with a good detergent (think Charlies soap) and a good microfiber insert!

Re: perfect dipe for my SIL (convenience important!)?

I wouldn't do pockets either and expect a mama who is just jumping on board to not only do all that is required with a newborn but to also have to learn all about stuffing pockets. We take it for granted that it is easy, because we do it everyday, but when you first start out (unless you have the dream baby who just naturally "works" with whatever insert you happen to have) it is Really hard. I have 2 friends that cd and I got very frusterated with pockets and I got really tired of calling them all the time. I am not saying an AI2 or AIO is the answer, but they are most like sposies in ease of use. I guess I would make SIL part of the decision, if she lets you decide what to get, whenever she get frusterated, you will also get the blame. I would plan a time when you both can sit for a while and go to http://www.diaperhyena.com and take a look at all the different cloth diapering options, let her read the pro's and cons of each. THEN, take her to hyenacart, start by showing her some of the suggestions you have received (or to the websites) let her look, it will be fun for you to help her shop, but it will also help her. When it comes time for smalls, mediums and larges (or whatever) she won't have a clue where to start if you do everything for her. Just saying that she is going to be able to tell you more about what she thinks her hangups would be than you can, and she, being a cloth virgin, would not even begin to tell you because she does not know what each diapering system is going to include. Good luck, and congrats on a convert! I tryed with my sil who not only said no to cloth, but apparently won't even try to bf

What is the drying time like on those all-together AIO's?

It's awhile, to be honest. I dry funky because I have pockets, but they go in with my inserts on high for about an hour, then on low with my pockets for about 15 minutes and they're not QUITE dry. I'd guess an hour 15 on high would do it. I usually just let it sit out overnight after the normal drying and they're dry.

I have a super soaker though, which is why I almost didn't try one, but it holds like nothing else I've tried. In my experience, they hold about as much as a FB with a cb and hemp insert.
