IUD's are known for having pregnancy related symptoms. An IUD doesn't stop fertilization from occuring, it stops implantation. Women who are very sensative to pregnancy hormones and feel symptoms before implantation will get symptoms like you are having with negative tests as hormone levels aren't high enough to detect until after implantation, which won't occur with an IUD (well, isn't supposed to happen with an IUD).
