Wool shaver?

OK.....wool newbie alert I recently purchased some wool longies from FSOT and some of them look kind of pilly. I keep hearing refernce to "shaving" wool and I was wondering what a wool shaver looks like, and where can I purchase one (approx price too)?

TIA

razor from the dollar store! Im not sure there is an "official" wool shaver. I know most people usually just use a razor, like the kind you shave your legs with.

That's what I used yesterday, I think you can use sweater shavers too. Don't know where to find them, maybe in a fabric store?

I got mine for like 7 bucks at walmart. They have the same type at target and bed bath and beyond.

Love the sweater shaver; yep you can get it at wal-mart, target, even my neighborhood pharmacy has them, all about the same price. It looks kinda like a men's shaver Until it does me wrong, I'm going to stick with it, as I have seen a number of (specifically interlock soakers) wool pieces FSOT w/ little nicks from razors.

Re: Wool shaver?

Yea, I use an Evercare sweater shaver from Target. It was $5.99. You can find it in the aisle with the ironing boards, lint rollers, etc. It does fill up fast, and sometimes the blades get clogged so you have to unscrew the front and pick the wad of lint out, lol, but for the price it is awesome and gets my woolies looking like new.
