What is this pain?

I am almost 30 weeks and throughout my pregnancy I've had sporatic, sharp pain very low in my abdomen (across from hip to hip and along my pubic bone). It usually happens if I sneeze or cough or something like that while sitting or laying on my side. I haven't been able to find what this is, I thought it might be PGP, but only a few of the symptoms fit. Oh, it also only lasts for a few minutes and isn't accompanied by BH or bleeding or anything. It also feels like a surface pain, not a stomach/uterus pain.

If this is just a normal pain due to pregnancy that would make me feel better.
So anyone know what it is or have they experienced it too?

Sounds like round ligament pain to me!

Definately normal. Round ligament pains. The round ligaments hold your uterus in place and extend from near your hip bone to the uterus to hold it where it should be. as your uterus grows, these ligaments have to stratch to support it and it can cause lots of sporadic, sharp pains. They are often caused by a quick change in position, by staying in the same position too long and then changing positions, and by stretching/moving/bending in certain ways. Totally normal.

What a relief! It didn't seem to be causing problems (beyond hurting!) but I was worried it might be something more serious. Good to know that it is normal
