Keeping busy looking for a Maternity Support Bands? Specifically for sports/athletics

I'm about 21 weeks, and I've really just popped. I ran about 2 miles today and played soccer with DH, DD, and some family today. My back was really sore by the end of the day, and when I was running I could feel like my belly needed some additional support. I dont' want to slow down, but I know if I can't get the support I need then I'm going to have to. There is a 5k that I plan on running at 25 weeks and another at 30 weeks. I do not feel like I am going to be very comfortable running those long distances without extra support.

Does anyone have any opinions, experiences, or advice about maternity support bands?

I looked at one (see link below), but I'm not sure how much support it is going to offer, or if its going to be like a belly band. http://www.fitmaternity.com/maternit...hes/am400.html

I've also seen the medela ones but I'm not sure how that will work for sports and running. I feel like my last pregnancy I did not experience this feeling of needing support, I guess that's just how being pregnant at 18 is! Now my old self at 23 needs some support clothing!

TIA

I stayed very active throughout my pregnancy with DS and didn't find anything that really helped. In retrospect, I should have gone for more 'rehab' type care (chiro and massage therapy) to ease the pain.

Your body is very old now at 23, so you may just be out of luck. JUST KIDDING!! Could just be the way the baby is sitting or your body just may be adjusting differently this time. Stay active for sure!! Good for you!!!
