My Medela Pump In Style original has been wrapped up and stored since DD was 7 months. She will just have made 3 when DS is born.
I still have to unwrap the pump, but will I have to automatically replace the motor since the pump is 3 yrs old?

is there a rule? I don't know, mine is that old (started using it when DD1 shortly after born and she's now 3.5) and it still works fine so I've never even wondered

my sister's PIS was 5 years old when she used it for her second child and she was using it just fine. i think it depends more on how much it was actually used.

thanks! I'll check mine just to make sure. I think you can order a new motor if need to from Medela and some stores carry replacement parts too
