we had this on a weekly basis growing up as well-definitely a meal! My sisters and I loved putting ketchup in our beans too.

My family ate beans and cornbread a lot growing up. My mom would slice onions and tomatoes also. She'd make the fried potatoes and fry eggs on top of them. Yummmo! I do that sometimes myself. I think I'll put it on my menu for this week now that you mention it.
