Better Homes and Garden stand mixer

I bought this mixer about 2 weeks ago.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Hom...Steel/14977058

I've made muffins, cookies, pumpkin bread, etc with no problems. I was making wheat bread today and everything was going great until it was almost done kneading the dough. Then it just quit. It wouldn't come back on.

I took the dough out and unplugged it. I've let it sit there for about an hour and now it will come back on.

I'm debating about returning it. Would you? I don't want something that's not going to finish what it starts! And I mainly wanted it to make bread.

If I return it, I want to replace it with another mixer. I'll probably buy the Kitchen Aid since it seems to have better reviews.

Opinions anyone? Thanks!!

I would contact the company first. If they don't help, then definitely return it.

Re: Better Homes and Garden stand mixer

Okay, I'm pretty sure what happened was my fault. I got out the manual and saw that it said to only knead dough on low. I think I had it on the one between low and medium. It also said that after 7 minutes, there's an automatic shut off so it doesn't get too hot and to let it cool for 15 minutes before using again. Oops!

It has a 2 year warranty so I think I'll keep it for now and see how it goes. And next time I make bread, I'll only use the low speed.

I was going to suggest that it possibly has an auto shut off so it doesn't overheat. My vacuum has this and its really annoying, but I see you've figured it out.
