He won't stop pooping in the car ...

It's been almost three weeks and DS has consistently pooped while on car rides. I loved catching poop in the potty ... I miss it sooo much! He poops every other day, I offer him lots of opportunities when I'm home, I grunt and cue and make potty time fun. But, he seems to wait until he's in his car seat to let it all out. Allll of it.

How can I convince this adorable 8-month old that the potty is more fun than the car?

No idea, but if you figure it out can you convince my 28 month old that pooping in the tub is gross?

Yes. We can work on that together!

lol, this is too funny. at least at 8 months you've done a great job teaching him to use the potty at all..

what position is he in when giving him opportunities at home? maybe it's easier to poop in the car because of the position. I know DS poops the best when I hold him in the infant type position over the toilet.
Also, is he giving cues in the car that you can tell when he's about to poop and then are you able to pull over and have him poop in a travel potty or something? So at least you are trying to catch it still.

Re: He won't stop pooping in the car ...

When he goes on the potty at home, he's usually just sitting on the potty. I think he might like the car because his feet touch the back of the seat and he can push. I should give the in-arms hold a try over the toilet. I'll admit I haven't done that much with him so I didn't know if I should bother starting. We went straight to the BBLP at 6 mos when we started EC'ing.

He sometimes cues, sometimes doesn't. I think sometimes he just has a ninja poop. When I'm driving, I'm not always watching for his cues, either.
