Re: Basically it's Monday!!!

Yup! On the two days that I worked 1-9pm, I used to always sleep 11-11. Bliss.

Okay, I'm off for the night too. Sleep (as well as possible) everyone!

Good morning Janine.

Wow, Becky! That's crazy.

I'm going to go mess with my personal site redesign before bed.

Good night, mamas!

Good morning, Janine.

E didn't night wean until 22 months, and was bottle-fed. Want to know what saved us? A cooler. We mixed up the bottles before bed (often 3-4 4oz bottles) and just fed them to him as needed. Of course, this was only possible because E hated his milk heated. It had to be chilled. Our child is a nut bar.
We did that too--just started keeping them in the fridge normally and Alanna got used to it (she was mostly FFed). But the boob is even more convenient

Re: Basically it's Monday!!!

personally i really feel for you mamas that have to make bottles at night - i cant imagine.
I thought it was bad enough with ds1 that he wouldnt nurse laying down and i had to sit up to feed him and he only nursed typically once at night though it did take him 40mins

the last two nursed in bed and stayed in bed unless dh was home and awake enough to take them back to their own beds

Re: Basically it's Monday!!!

and on the subject of snowballs - i used to sub regularly (pre married days) at a two class - 4 room - public school but all mennonite kids - anyhow we were at school one day with a lot of snow and I was in the 1-4 grade classroom and i let them out early to make snowballs to chuck at their brother/sisters/cousins in the 5-8th class as they came out for the bus. I told them throw fast and then run for the bus

I did find out later from the other teacher that snowball throwing isnt typically encouraged

Re: Basically it's Monday!!!

i am hoping by 1 yr old she will be done eating at night and sleeping thru the night. But i am doubting it will happen. I only wanted to night wean for nursing...i dont mind the bottle LOL my nips are sore and she was starting to only sleep if on the boob so it was getting miserable. So i am good w/ her having the bottle, she obv is hungry if she eats all 6oz! lol

Re: Basically it's Monday!!!

I think i got really lucky on the night weaning too - i didnt really have to wean any of them. With Mate we got so dh would get up with him instead and put him back to sleep bc we were getting some of the paci b00b issue. Ds1 we did try the cio and it was worth it bc it was less than 10 mins and less than 3 nights. The first night it was less than five mins and the third night as well less than 5 mins - and then we were all happier people sleeping the whole night long
