Re: Just wanna cry

Im happy to say that DD has gone back to nursing even though I have basically nothing to offer. She'll comfort nurse to sleep and when she wakes I give her a bottle of EBM. Im back on the milk making wagon, taking domperidone, fenugreek, eating oatmeal, drinking lots of water and will start pumping again like crazy in a day or two.

mama to 5 and proud of it!

Re: Just wanna cry

Good to hear. Sometimes a B vitamin deficiency can cause low milk. Some mamas find brewer's yeast helps if this is the case. HTH

Re: Just wanna cry

I hope now that your DD is back to the breast things will look up for you. You're doing an awesome job working through all of this mama. I know it hasn't been easy.

I know with 4 kids this may be a bit impractical, but can you take a "nursing holiday", where you spend the day in bed with DD doing nothing but nursing and eating? Maybe on the weekend so DH can watch the big kids. It's supposed to really help in a situation like this. Nursing in the tub should help you both, and it's nice too. The skin to skin contact is great. Are you co-sleeping? Co-sleeping can really help increase your milk supply, especially because of the skin to skin contact.

Good luck mama. You're doing a great job.
