Try some kind of white noise....like a hairdryer, vacuum, or a radio tuned to static. My DS does the same thing your DD does...and for some reason the noise helps to calm him down!It's worth a try!

This site has a remedy for EVERYTHING! I've been on it on and off all afternoon.
I'm sorry I don't really have any good suggestions. My dd does this often still, and the only thing that helps is constant nursing. Otherwise she does that shaky lamb cry (only we call it the wookie cry )
