Help

Weve been battling cold after cold after cold here at my house for the past month and I think its starting to affect YDS. Hes 17 weeks old and EBF. Since hes been sick Ive been keeping an eye on his weight since this is my first time BF'ing. His weight has been going up and down for the past month. Im nursing him on cue and feeding him as long as he wants to nurse. Sometimes its for longer periods then others but he is still eating. My question is, is it normal for him to weigh more in the morning then in the evening? Yesterday mornings weight was 14lbs 9.9oz, yesterday evenings weight was 14lbs 9.5oz, this mornings weight was 14lbs 11.3oz. All done on the same baby scale. Is this normal? Im going to start today on keeping a nursing log along with a weight log until we all get over all this cold stuff going around.

Re: Help

first of all honey, stop weighing him you are going to make your self nuts. Just like us his weight is going to change during the day.
If he is still pooping and peeing you are good to go. As long as he is eating you are good to go. He will be ok honey. ***BIG HUGS****

PS you are a great Mama!

Re: Help

I agree weighing him all of the time will make you crazy. And yes people's weight fluctuates throughout the day, his will too based on things like if he just ate or pooped, etc.
