I need some help deciding what to do, ladies. Our third little boy arrived on 12/2/10 and I'm just really getting into the swing of CDing. However, I didn't buy enough size Small diapers for him I have:

5 BG 3.0 AIO's size Small
1 Bottombumpers size Small
1 Best Bottoms cover with three Small inserts
2 Softbums covers with 2 newborn inserts (actually 4, but they need to be doubled or the cover gets wet)
1 Thirsties Duo Pocket size 1
1 Rumparooz Pocket


Now I have a bunch of other diapers that are One Size that I *could* use, but they are really bulky.

10 FuzziBunz OS
1 BG 4.0 Pocket
1 Katydid
7 BG Elementals
and a few more random diapers that I can't recall at the moment.


Would you buy more Small diapers OR just deal with the bulkiness until he grows more? I'm afraid that his clothes aren't going to fit with these bulky OS diapers

I would stalk FSOT and find some more Small diapers for a good deal. But I really don't like OS dipes at all. LOL! Good luck, mama!

Have you tried the FB OS with the infant insert? That might be a bit less bulky. I've read the BG 3.0 diapers are a bit smaller than the 4.0. You could also try some of them used off FSOT with the infant insert???

I was actually surprised when my 2 week old fit into os dipes. I would try them. They might be a little more bulky, but buying bigger onesies is cheaper than buying temporary dipes FBOS fit on my sisters teeny NB with the little insert too.

Hmmmm . . . now you all have me wondering which insert I had in the Fuzzibunz. They definitely fit him nicely but were so bulky it was ridiculous!!!!! Thanks for your thoughts!!!!!

Other than using the small insert, you could get a cheap pack of gerber flats and fold them smaller than the insert and those would probably work really well and cut the bulk alot more than just using the small insert. HTH
