I have a fitted, prefold, snap-in soaker, and hemp terry insert with mildew stains. I was waiting for my Allen's naturally hoping it would show up soon and apparently waited too long. All my other dipes came out fine with a LONG vinegar/baking soda cold-water soak. I am not sure how to get the stains out. I am soaking with oxy-clean and peroxide right now. I won't be out a ton of money if this doesn't work and I have to toss them, but I would really like to salvage these. Any suggestions? I feel like a CD failure for all the problems I have had in the short time I've been CDing. Please help!

Re: ARG!!! Mildew stains?
I have read on here b/f that you are supposed to throw them away....
I think if it was me (short on $$ here) I would try the following 1st: #1 Try sunning them. #2 try boiling them. #3 If those both fail, use bleach, but only a tiny bit- I am not usre how much exactly but I know its only like 1tsp or 1tbsp or something... Good luck! |
