Lanisoh ointment or something else?
Lanisoh seems kinda pricey. I bought it with the #1 but I did a lot of things with #1!
I thought I might have found a generic but not at least at Target. Is there something else just as good but cheaper or just bit the bullet and get it. I think I only needed one tube ever!

Re: Lanisoh ointment or something else?
If you'll only ever need one tube why not spring for tried and true?

Re: Lanisoh ointment or something else?
I liked the Gerber Breast therapy stick better. My hands didn't get all sticky from using it either. It's not lanolin though.

Re: Lanisoh ointment or something else?
I'm still a couple weeks away from needing Lanisoh but some of my friends were saying the Medela one is easier to use. It's apparently less thick so it's easier to apply and less greasy so it actually feels like it's soaking in a little not just sitting on your skin. I got a tube of Lanisoh for my shower and I returned it today to get the Medela and the Medela was $5 cheaper at BRU.

Re: Lanisoh ointment or something else?
I used sweet oil (aka olive oil) w/ DS1, and it was all I ever needed. That is what my hospital gave me. Not sticky and felt great on my nipples. With my now 6 month old twins, I had to break down and use the lanolin cream because they did not have good latches and my nipples got a little raw. I used it for a couple of weeks.
I have found it is now working wonders on my cracked hands!

Re: Lanisoh ointment or something else?
I got nipple butter from The First Years, I think. I LOVED it so much better than Lansinoh. It seemed like the Landinoh was always really hard and would clump up. I really liked how the nipple butter was much smoother and easier to apply.
