minky apron & a blinged out apron!

several girls and i are throwing a grandmother shower so we thought it would be cute if we all wore fun aprons! these are the 2 i made!

this one is for a friend of mine i think i liked it better without the bling on it but she really wanted some shine so i put her initial on it! also with hers i was kinda lazy, so i started out with an apron from walmart then added a ruffle on the bottom, pocket, & new ties


this is mine! i wish you could tell how purple the fabric is though b/c i hand dyed it a really pretty purple (it was orig. a black/white damask) i decided to only do a half apron since the print was overpowering w/ the full version i started with, you cant really tell but the damask it ruffled on the minky & i used the same damask for the ties! i really love it! its the perfect length for me! it ties right under my chest and is pretty long which is exactly what i wanted! i wish i had realized how hard it is to sew with minky though, that stuff is so slippery i REALLY wanted some bling on mine but couldnt bear to put anything on it after i finished it
