Re: When are you starting CD?
since we'll be home, we'll be using cloth
no sense in buying sposies when we have plenty of fitteds and flats and PFs! lolif for some reason we end up in the hossy, we'll use whatever they give us. because being in the hossy will probably mean something bad happened (c/s most likely) and i won't be in any shape to worry about diaper laundry.

Re: When are you starting CD?
My plan is to do it right away...I plan on having a full stocked diaper bag to the hossy...
However being my 4th I know that not everything goes according to plan. With my son (we didn't know gender for him either) I had 2 diaper bags packed just full of adorable gender specfic clothes to put straight away on the baby...turned out since he was 3 weeks early he went to the nicu and stayed for the entire 5 day stay. I even had to feed him in the nursery as he needed his oxygen levels montoried. I was so disappointed ......

Re: When are you starting CD?
My first two babies only past meconium two times, that's it. But my last one did it several times over the first few days. And it was a pain to get it out of the diapers.
So I still have a package of gifted diapers from the last one. I'll use those until all the meconium is out. Then I'll use cd.(I might use up the package for when we're out and about.)

Re: When are you starting CD?
Most of our cloth were too big on Emery at birth, but this time I've bought more NB dipes so we will be starting with the first diaper. We're also having a home birth this time, so that makes a big difference. It's our 5th child, so I don't anticipate any "gifts" of diapers (since everyone who knows me knows I CD), and I refuse to buy sposies.
ETA- I had no issues getting meconium out of the diapers when E was born, and since I have to do diaper laundry for her anyway it's no big deal to add another one right away. Plus, I'm looking forward to letting Emery pick her baby sister's diapers each time, just like she picks her own
