Any CD safe fabric softener you can buy locally?

Hey ladies I was just wondering if anyone knew of any cd safe softeners that you could get at your local grocery store? It just makes me so sad when I get new fluff and it is so soft but I know that after a few washed it will lose all it's fluffy goodness We have hard water and we use tide to get our diapers clean if that makes any difference.

The only CD-safe fabric softener that I've ever heard of is Ecover. I doubt that you can find it locally though. I bought mine on Soap.com. I've never used it on my diapers though - I'm too scared.

man, I was hoping not to have to order it online Thanks Oh and go ahead, the worst that will happen is that you will have to strip them right?

I've been using Ecover detergent & softener for my diaper laundry for the last 2 months and I haven't had any problems.

I have been able to find Ecover at my local grocery store. Also at Whole Foods.

I use ecover and buy it at a local natural foods store. Check the ecover website, I was surprised to find it as I live in the least green city ever.

I believe any plant based fabric softener will do just as well as Ecover for occasional use. I have used Ecover and 7th Generation and not had any problems with either, though I only use fabric softener about once a month. There is also supposed to be a Walmart generic plant based softener, which I think is called Simplicity(?) that I have never been able to find.

do you have a health food store in town? I live in the boonies and have to travel 30 minutes to the nearest grocery store...but sure enough, there's a health food store there where I can buy ecover. Shaw's carries it too so some of the large chain markets do carry it.
