Half size shipping label through Paypal

I've received a couple smaller items lately that have half size shipping labels on them. How do I do this? It looked just like the regular half sheet size, but smaller. Thanks!

Hm. I've never thought of doing that. But as long as it's legal with the PO, I bet you do it with your printer settings. My printer can print in "booklet" form and will do 2 pages side by side on one piece of paper. That's the only way I can think of, since I've never seen the option in paypal. But what a good idea! Maybe I'll do a test one. Before I print my postage I always save it to my computer as pdf file in case it doesn't print right or I need to reprint for some reason. MUCH easier than reprinting through paypal. So I have some that I could play with.

i've been wondering this also after getting a package with a smaller label!!! you read my mind!!!

Here is what "I" do. I buy the full page labels they are actually made where they are two and you can tear down the middle. I tear before i put them in and then it prints the first part of the label and just not the second part. Then pull the back off and stick to the package and its ready to go

That acutally answers another one of my questions about shipping labels, but this was a tiny label. It was like a shrunk down version of what normally prints out. Maybe 2" by 3"?

From what I've read, shrinking the lables down can cause problems, the sizethe barcodes and the address info were designed as the smallest they can be and still be reliably read by the automated scanners.

You don't have to tear your labels in half to just print 1 sheet-there is a setting in PP that lets you not print the reciept- then it only prints the label on half the page, and you can just turn the page the other direction and print a secondlable. Justcheck under Printer preferences!

One thing to remember though, is that if you're doing your taxes as a business, you need receipts to show your expenses. So if you're including shipping as an expense, you better keep your receipts in case you get audited!

Mine did that the other day & I flipped out! Apparently, I had viewed something in Print Preview and reduced it down to 30%, and I guess my Printer saved the settings and it applied to that. But, know I love it b/c it saves on ink!!!

You just change your printer settings to scaled and input the % of the original you want it to be. I wouldn't shrink it super small, try 75% to begin with. They're scanned in with a barcode gun just like everything else and you'd be amazed how small a upc those can grab. Oh and you can turn off the receipt side in your account settings in paypal.
