Gaelic Girls Name--Help please!

Ok.

So we THOUGHT we had a name set. But Im just not loving it any more

So I need some stellar Gaelic girl's names to fall in love with and to propose to dh.

Our last name is pretty common, 2 syllables ending in "son" if thats any help.

Any ideas anyone?

Please?

Are you looking for Gaelic spelling? I love Caoimhe (Keeva), Naimh (Neev), Aoife (Efa) and Aoibheann (Even). Or are you talking about just Gaelic origins? I am not as fond of those but Nora, Orla, and Fiona stick out to me. Also, I love Moira and Meave, but that is because I tend to like English names.

Re: Gaelic Girls Name--Help please!

Id rather not obscure spellings, as Ive done that in the past and my kids have hated that no one knows their name by reading it and cant spell it. So English spellings of Gaelic origins.

Keira is my favorite Irish Gaelic name

I can't find any that end in "son" but here are a couple faves:
Keely
Cayleigh
Kellan
Rosline
Ashlynn
Eilise
Teirney

ETA - OOPS! read that wrong it's your last name that ends in son

Re: Gaelic Girls Name--Help please!

I heard the name "Kiernan" a couple of months ago and really liked it. It's the REAL LIFE name of the little girl who plays Don Draper's daughter in the show "Mad Men". I have no idea if it's Gaelic or not.

I of course like "Kellan" as that's my DS's name, only spelled differently

I love Gaelic names and leaning toward Teagan (little poet)... also like Ashlynn (dream) & Kira (dark)

here is a good source...

Good luck...girl names are hard. to quote my sister, " a name is something she is pretty much going to be stuck with for the rest of her life. You can name boys "Dirt" and they wouldn't care...LOL! "
