Please change the search word length requirement

There are so many times that the search function on the forum does not work because the word is not long enough. Since we all talk in acronyms around here, it makes it hard to find things like a GAD, GMD, FB, BG, or something with OBV, etc.

I found out this morning that it does not even matter if you use more than word at a time. Searching for "wet bag" yields the same problem.

What is the point of the word length requirement? Can we get rid of it?

PUL is another one. If you can't change the length, can you add some of the more popular acronyms

NB gets me, too, but I assumed it wasn't possible to change.

If you type three letters then an asterisk (*) it will search it.

That helps a little, but gives you lots of extra results that aren't pertinent since it will give you anything that starts with the letter you have before the *. For example, if you search for "pul*" you get lots of postings that use the word pull, and those have nothing to do with pul

Search by individual forum (so if you want to buy pul search in the craft FSOT forum and not the entire board)

I do wish we could change the search function as well!

Me too. It's frustrating to be looking for a GM, because most people know what GM stands for, so the seller won't spell out "Goodmama". You'd think since everyone uses so many abbreviations that we could add those to the search functions!
