Need a kid friendly meal to take.

I don't know, she acted kinda so-so about it. lol But she's not a very emotional person, so I hope she appreciates it and just didn't say much. She did say thank you, I guess, as I was leaving.

I'd like to do it again in a few days. I guess people have been asking her to go places and do things and not really understanding that she just wants to be home with her baby. (Like her sister wanted her to go to her parents house, her dad wanted her to go to Sam's Club and her SIL wants her to go to her house for the Superbowl tomorrow.) So that has to be overwhelming for her.

Those sound great!! Hmm, I have some shredded pork in the freezer. I wonder if I could use that instead of chicken. DH isn't a big fan of anything chicken. lol

I agree - you are a very awesome friend. I do hope she knows how blessed she is! I didn't have any help either. I would have LOVED someone to cook for me in those early days/weeks. I plan on doing this for my friend that is due 6 weeks ahead of me.

Baked ziti/spaghetti/things like that are always easy and MOST people like them. I also know of a woman who would create a bunch of healthy meals (because face it, those "easY' meals generally aren't healthy) and just prep everything and have it in ziplocks. Mom/dad/whoever was there would simply have to throw it together on the stove. Cooking isn't the worst part, IMO - it's the prep.

That's one of the big reasons I did it. Nobody did it for me and I would have loved it!! One friend did say she was going to bring pizza, but never did.
