Re: Ergo?

I said I cant live without it because Ds is sooo stinkin heavy. I used the mai tei when he was smaller...but NO way I can walk around the zoo with a 33lb kid in a mai tei. I have tried. The one I had didnt have padding but I have a baby hawk now but havent tried it and Im sure it will be better with padding. PLUS dh will only wear the ergo. It looks more manly than the mai tei I have and I honestly want to share the babywearing love sometimes! Also, my 4 year old loves the ergo...it makes both of my kids feel like they are about 1/2 their weight!. Good luck deciding!

Re: Ergo?

That's true too, my 4 yr old can also hop in the Ergo if I've got the baby in the wrap, MT or sling, whereas with my other carriers she just can't fit in them and it would be wayy too hard to carry her (she's 40 pounds). And the Ergo does look manly, I've got the beige with bugs print inside and we both love it!

Re: Ergo?

im so getting convinced I wear my 4 yr old in the MT she is 30 lbs and my 10 mth old is 28 lbs and its hard at times, she was wonr a lot and she pretty much refuses to walk anywhere we go. latel she has been in the stroller and the baby int he MT on my back, If I had the ergo dh could wear my 4 yr old and I could just wear the MT with the baby or one of my ring slings. I hate having to use the stroller my 4 yr old gets in and nout every 5 mins and the baby screams bloody murder unless she was already sleeping and transferd into it, but try to get her in there when she is a wake forget about it
