Ecover Delicate and Wool detergent to wash wool?

I have Ecover Delicate and Wool Wash, could I use this to handwash my wool covers?

To give you an idea of what kind of covers I have: 2 Loveybums pull on (I think they're interlock) soakers, 1 Imse Vimse wool cover, and a merino wool WAHM made soaker.

TIA!

I'm *pretty sure* Ecover will not strip your wool, it is not alkaline so it 'shouldn't' strip the wool - I've used it on wool imse vimse covers and they repelled water just fine afterward. But I'm not 100% confident about the rest of your wool, as I did not use the Ecover on my wool baby beehind cover...I guess I would go ahead and try it, and test the wool afterward for water repelling ability. The worse that can happen is you will have to relanolize your wool.

(Sorry I couldn't give you a more definite answer, I just don't wash my wool that much. I do use Ecover for all my CDs though)

You use Ecover for CDs? I thought it wasn't appropriate or something. What kind of cds do you have? I have mostly cotton, with organic cotton velour, bamboo, and a few hemps sitting around. I use BGs for outings but I have Planet detergent for those.

Thanks for the response! The way I used to do it was to swish some lanolin in with some baby shampoo and wash the wool in the sink. If I substitute Ecover for the baby shampoo, I wonder what may happen. It may work. I love Ecover. I use the cleaners, dishwasher detergents, etc. The rest of my cleaning I do with Bi-O-Kleen.
