Re: Spent the afternoon in the ER! UGH!

SS mama. I hate taking my boys to the ER. It's like they don't care.

I wanted to tell you that my DH has epilepsy. He has been seizure free for awhile now but every time he gets an infection (usually ear or sinus) he starts having seizures. His drs say that it has something to do with the fevers that come with those kinds of infections.

I hope that everything is ok with her. Seizures in LOs are so scary.

Re: Spent the afternoon in the ER! UGH!

Thanks again everyone.

Yes our DD was officially diagnosed with Epilepsy at 8 months. She has been on Clobozam also but that didn't work for her.

When it was bad she was having 40+ seizures a week that we knew about. Probably more that we didn't catch because she has 2 types of seizures, Tonic Clonic & Partials (partials look very much like absence seizures and are short so they are super hard to catch.)

We're definitely just going to the Children's Hospital next time we are worried.

Waiting to hear back from her Ped Neuro DH left a message today so he'll call back tomorrow.

If he's going to switch meds again I'm pushing for the Ketogenic diet instead, I've been saying it for a while but that's my gut feeling.

My dd had a few seziures at 10 months with really no explaination. We went to the childrens hospital and saw the ped. neurologist. CAT scans, EEG's, blood work, and no answers. She had 1 after the visit to the hospital. I know how scary it is.
