Arrow Normal to be scared?

My DS is 11 months old. He is teething, and he has been biting. Done everything in the books to stop it but he has decided that biting is the thing to do, I am guessing its from pain etc. The problem is I am PETRIFIED everytime he goes to latch on. I don't mean like nervous I mean I get tense and cringe and get truely scared when I see my nip going into that mouth full of teeth (right now he has 5, almost 6). Is this normal? What can I do. We are so close to a year (23 days to be exact) and I know we can get that far but I am seriously freaking out dreading every nursing session (he asks now, I don't offer). Help?

Re: Normal to be scared?

Honestly, I don't know, my first had teeth @ 4 mo & all but 2 yr molars at a yr... a proper latch doesn't allow biting- just do 'no nonsense' nursing when he's in bite mode I guess
