boy name help

okay so if youve read what i wrote before on trouble, i still need help with a boy one.
by the meaning. lol

does anyone know any boy names that mean either 'from god' or 'of god'?
not 'gift from god" or whatever... just what i wrote. im having a hard time with this, and anyone who can find this for me, ill appreciate it!

What is your first DS's name? I never saw your last post, and I have no idea about names that have to do with god, but I just came across this name tonight and really love it (was reading Hotel California trivia LOL) anyway the name is Henley, Don Henley was one of the Eagles members that wrote the song, i know I know, I'm VERY random tonight

I would try this site. I typed in From God and and it came up with a bunch of names. Some of them might be a little off base- but at least it is a start.

If not I would look for names from the Old Testament. They are the most likely to have a meaning like that.

We are naming our son Elias- which is the greek form of Elijah (meaning the Lord is my God). I have heard some people translate Elias to mean of the Lord... but I haven't researched it much. HTH

and his name has a special meaning, i want this one to have special meaning (together, not the name(s) itself)

his name, each one has one word meanings, and theyre very special together.

im having a hard time with matching what i want together for this one because almost everything i see is 'gift from god' and not just 'from god' ..i never though oif making it 'from the lord' searching...err..DUH!! lol i dont WANT the 'gift' part which is mostly what Im getting...or other things with what i want inluded.

ive searched for HOURS nad i keep just getting frustrated, kwim?
i have 2 first, middle combos i love, but one is thomass "stepbrother"s first name (his dad and this lady have been together since we have, so 6 years, and theyre not married, so not technically step but close enough lol)
and doesnt mean anything i like...

then the other one, well, both are in the top 10...and dont mean anything great together...UGH.
this was SO much easier with my son, id told thomas for 5 years, his middle name would be our sosn middle name if we had one, and then his first name, i just knew when i saw him.
this one is too dang stubborn to really let me see its face (or anything else for that matter)
and so its much harder, i did get a 3d pic yesterday that was pretty good of a partial face shot but it had its arm in the way! so i see a nose and an eye! GRRR!!
plus since what my sons means, im stuck on naming this one what i want to but i cant find many names to go with the meaning i want :sigh:

Deven means "for God". I'll look around a little more and see if I can find something else...at least 'til the little man wakes up
