I need ideas for feeding a crowd.

In 2 weeks my 2 youngest LO's are being dedicated at church. We're having a party here after. What is your go to meal to feed a crowd on a small-ish budget? Thanks mamas!

We did my kids in the summer and did a back yard cook out type thing.

I think rigatoni and meatballs would be pretty reasonable.

Any food dislikes/allergies? Any certain theme you want to go with? If you like Mexican food I made these in the crockpot and they were delish for tacos/burritos. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Refried...ry/Detail.aspx

I then used the leftovers to make this for a superbowl party. Everyone loved it!

Maybe you could do a "do it yourself" burrito or taco bar and just put out a bunch of yummy toppings? Then do a nice dessert to go with it?

Lasagna and salads?

Taco bar sounds like fun too.

Spaghetti and salad can be made fairly cheaply.

Re: I need ideas for feeding a crowd.

My "go-to" meals for when we have a lot of people over (birthday parties and get togethers) are:

Rigatoni and meatballs
~~Boil noodles, toss with butter and add spaghetti sauce and motz cheese. I usually buy a bag of frozen meatballs (60+ in a bag) I use a large disposable pan and just throw everything in and cook until it's warmed through. Total meal is usually under $20 (it depends on the cheese!)

Hot dogs
~~I buy enough for at least 2 hotdogs per person...sometimes more if I'm going to have guys who are heavy eaters over...I toss them in a crock with some water and let them cook! I'll also set up a "bar" with sloppy joe, slaw, onions, relish and other fixins. Chips on the side...nothing fancy but it feeds the crowds!

I have a few more, but my little guy is up and screaming!
