carrying my nosey 8 week old

I need some help on figuring out the best way to carry my 8 week old daughter. She thinks she's 6 months old.... lol DD absolutely hates a cradle carry and when being held is only happy when she is up on your shoulder so she can see everything! She's only happy in a hug hold when sleepy. I have a Moby wrap and a Hotsling (actually... my Hotsling is HUGE on me, so I guess I technically can't work with that one)......... so.... I have a Moby (lol!) Should I look into another carrier? Or is there a hold that will possibly not piss off my DD?

I would say if you are looking at getting a new carrier go for a ring sling my kids liked to look around a lot too, they had great head control. And until I comfortable wrapping on my back I put the on my hip on the rs and they could still see everything.

Thanks! Do you recommend any good inexpensive ones? Or even a pattern that I could *attempt* to make one from? lol

www.sleepingbaby.net has great instructions on making a ring sling, a few different patterns, and info on safe sling construction.

Somewhere around that age (maybe a tad later) I started putting my kiddo in a kangaroo carry in our RS and pouch sling. It allowed her some support but she could still look around when she wanted and bury her face when she wanted. It was a good compromise until she was big enough for a true hip carry.
