Re: Is it possible?? (TMI)

They could be internal. I didn't realize I had them either after DS2 was born (well, for at least the first few days). It wouldn't hurt to ask.

You can ask, but I don't see what the point is when there's really no "cure" for them (unless they are super SUPER extreme, and then I think there is a surgical procedure). If all you have is a little blood, then you are lucky. You don't want the itchy kind.

Re: Is it possible?? (TMI)

okay so this is maybe TMI but sometimes there is something in your stool that scratches on the way out and causes just that little bit of blood.

Rectal fissures are very common and just have to go away on their own. The MW will probably ask if there is blood IN the stool (which is a different problem). Yuck. If hemorrhoids or rectal fissures, doing your sitz baths is good.

OP, I had the same thing happen. There was actually a good amount of blood for a few days, then it went away. Never any pain. If it kept up I would have asked my Midwife, but I avoided the conversation and it stopped.

If it becomes painful, I would ask. (Glad I'm not alone too, and thanks for posting this!)
