Re: non stay dry ok for all night?
My DD goes all night in a cotton prefold with cotton doubler her skin does fablously better than with a stay dry diaper or sposie.

Re: non stay dry ok for all night?
I agree with the above, but I would still use a cd-safe barrier cream. At the first sign of sensitivity, I'd use fleece liners or something to keep moisture away. DS2 is extremely sensitive to moisture! The slightest wetness makes his boy-bits red and raw. Before I knew exactly what it was (I thought it was just bad diaper rash..), it had turned into irritant dermatitis.
It started out as diaper rash, but continued exposure kept it all from healing and made it worse until it was infected. It was absolutely terrible! So although I love natural and organic inners, he can't use 'em without a thick barrier between it and him. DD, however, does fine!

Re: non stay dry ok for all night?
I put on a layer of CJs with our nighttime diaper for this reason as well.

Re: non stay dry ok for all night?
My 19 m.o. DD wears 2 flats all night w/o cream or a fleece liner. Never had a problem, and her diapers are usually soaked by morning. I wonder, though, if it takes some time to get their skin used to the extra moisture. Maybe try the cotton all night w/ a cream, then every other night, then no cream.
