Re: Can't believe I am considering these... flats??

i love my flats for my frequent wetter. Some of my pockets just seem so bulky considering she lits me know the second it gets a drop wet. flat's are great and super trim. and all i have to do is throw a bamboo doubler in to increase the absorbency. there is a learning curve to the folding though, but after the first few tries with each fold, i actually haven't even had a soiled cover (so if you practice with a pul cover you may get less frustrated.

they wash up so clean and dry fast!

I did the origami fold and was REALLY surprised by how easy it was. I have them folded up and ready (they take less time to fold than it takes to stuff a pocket) and haven't had any problems getting them on my EXTREMELY wiggly seven month old. I guess I'm not trying to get them perfect on him, so it's not a challenge or time consuming. I use wool pants/shorts so no cover. I will say when he pees, it is quite obvious. I don't have leaks, but I can feel it through the wool if you know what I mean. I actually appreciate that because I can change him right away since I know he's wet. I did put a hemp insert under the middle section in the origami fold, which was very easy, and it made it super absorbent. I just washed mine for the first time after use and WOW. So clean...so quick...so fresh..so easy! I'm considering selling some of my pockets and buying a dozen more flats.

Forgot to add that they are TRIM. Like...possibly thinner than disposables trim! Love em!

My mom has a FL, too! That's why I have flats! I just take all my flats, some preemie prefolds, & Flip covers! I'm set!!! It's much easier to wash these, but I will honestly tell you it wasn't without trial and error. It took extra washes to get detergent out of!

Re: Can't believe I am considering these... flats??

I have this love/hate relationship with my flats. I just found the best padfold shape for my DD's "inbetween small and medium" so now I love them, but before that, I was frustrated with the right size fold and my size larges being difficult to fold into some type of flat that fits my DD to snappi - everything was leaking and I am a good flat-putter-onner,haha. They are very versitale, I suppose you'll love them when you find what you love ABOUT them, it takes awhile! lol

Re: Can't believe I am considering these... flats??

I think if your concerned about trying to get them on a wiggly baby you can pad-fold them into a cover. This is what I do most of the time with my 10 month old b/c as soon as I lay her down to change her she is rolling away from me! lol.
But I do love my flats, they are sooooo easy to maintain, absorbant, soft, simple. It does take practice to fold and fasten them. But even if you don't want to do that, just fold them up to fit in whatever wrap style cover you like and away you go! I don't think you will be sorry you bought them, they have so many uses.

Me TOO!

Right now I am in "hate" mode but I know in a month or a few weeks I will be back to the love.
