I dyed pfs tonight!!!

I am so excited! I dyed a dozen premium prefolds tonight. I have no idea how they will turn out LOL and I have to wait til tommorrow sometime to find out. Hopefully I can wait that long I attempted a heart and an american flag type design...so we'll see.

I will post pics when I am done.

WTG!! Can't wait to see pics!

If you use good dye and rinse like crazy you should get any bleeding. I rinse FOREVER before removing the rubber bands/strings, then rinse again and again to get all the excess dye out. Wash the first time alone with something white, old soack or something, to make sure the dye is set. If I ever get around to dyeing again I'm going to try soda ash to se the dye.

I use soda ash and good dye, and wash three times. I have NEVER had any trouble with bleeding after that. I have used RIT and it will bleed until the cows come home.

I just finished rinsing them and they are washing now. THey came out pretty good. I love the american flag one. A turquoise one is really pretty too and I am going to stencil fishes on it Some weren't my fav and there was a undyed spots but hey not bad for my first try.

I am going to stencil paint on them after they are done washing and then I will post pics. I still have a dozen more regulars to do. Should be fun.
