I thought they decided the other way on this? They were getting more strict on what you could use your HSA on. (Which I think is stupid)

I had Ohio Medicaid with DS and was going back to work FT and the cost of the pump was covered. It was considered a medical device. Sadly, I wore it out, so hopefully, I can get another Rx.

Also, look into WIC if you are eligible. I think the cutoff is 150% of the poverty level. So a family of 4 is around $33K. They will loan you pumps, and they were the ones to give me info on getting a pump with insurance!

When I had my first, Medicaid did not cover pumps (purchase or rental), and wic would only loan you one if you were bfing full time.

For my second, I had teacher insurance, a PISA was covered at the medical supply facility 100% with a prescription.

B... newly type II diabetic, wife to B 9/16/05, mama to B 1/23/07 H 9/27/08 (after three years of GI issues FINALLY getting a celiac diagnosis!) and our miracle baby C who joined us 9/6/2011, and is forever greatful to his "milk mamas" who pump for us! We do lots of crunchy things and some soggy things, too.
