which soft shoes are best (fit & quality) for a 2 yr old

So our ds has stride rite shoes & sandles, but I feel bad making him wear them, cause it's summer & all... but a couple days ago he got a sliver in his foot, he started limping & we ended up at the er in the middle of the night!

So anyway, as a small infant ds wore plain leather shoes made/sold by a native american family & then around 1 he wore peedoodles... I just thought before I bought a new pair, I'd ask you mama's what your favorites are for quality & comfort for a 2 year old... thanks in advance!

My first dd always wore the Soft Star mocs and shoes. I especially love their mocs. THe only other soft shoes we tried were Robeez which were moderately cute but offered no kind of protection on the soles of her feet. I defintely prefer the Soft Stars and dd #2 will be wearing them too.

I also really love the soft star shoes and mocs. they make sandals too. I also love buskins shoes. Ds had a pair of their sandals and one got run over by the lawn mower (not while he was wearing it) and survived. They really do last and are soooo soft. I think shoo shoos are cute, but they don't hold up as well. I never really liked robeeze, I'm not sure why.

My friend and sil love soft star, and they are having a big sale right now.
I've been thinking of getting some pedoodles boots for winter.
I also have some medieval moccasins that we wear, but I think they are a bit girly.
