Ugh!! Flats!! Swaddlebees or GMD?

Ok so I want the Swaddlebee print flats really bad but I am concerned about the size. I am using osocozy on my 28lb 2 yo and my 16 1/2 lb 9 month old. They are working ok but I would like to do more folds than just the modified Kite for my 2 yo and My 9 mo is a heavy wetter so I would like to be able to get more fabric in her wetzone.

I am trying to decided between the swaddlebee's and the GMD Large. I really like the prints of the swaddlebees but they seem quite a bit smaller than the gmd. The GMD are also supposed to be almost square now

What to do?

Re: Ugh!! Flats!! Swaddlebees or GMD?

Ive never used swaddlebees or large GMD's but I sold my LL's because it drove me nuts they weren't square. my Med GMDs are square and my smalls are slightly rectangle but at least all the sides are equal so they fold up in line.

Re: Ugh!! Flats!! Swaddlebees or GMD?

I have no experience with the Swaddlebees, but I can't say enough good things about our GMD flats. They are almost square, and they are cut precisely with the grain line so they stay rectangular instead of getting skewed. Very easy folding.

Are you sure you need the large? I've heard the medium suggested for diapering babies from smaller to larger sizes. I have used our small for lots of folds, as my son grew, by adding a doubler (I love the GMD hemp) and making the initial square not by folding in quarters, but by folding all 4 points in.

We now use the smalls pad folded in lots of covers (10 months old, 20+ pounds), with a hemp doubler at night. We have mediums, but they're a bit big for pad folding ... probably just right for fastening.

mediums aren't in stock I don't do pad folding anymore because my ds is PUL sensitive and I am using wool for both dk's.

I really like the swaddlebees. They are plenty big enough for us and stay square. I don't even use my gmds lately since I like the swaddlebees so much.

I would do the swaddlebees for sure. I like the prints, mine have stayed pretty square and are certainly plenty big for my almost 17lb eleven month old. They will fit my 35lb three year old as well, but she doesn't need them as she is PL'd but I tried on for fun anyways! I like them so much that I ordered the orange about two week after ordering the blue, and I already had more flats than I knew what to do with!
