Re: Black Cohosh to encourage labor?

I think the cohoshes are the "heavy hitters" when it comes to natural/herbal induction methods. Not something I would do lightly, even some midwives advise against them because the outcomes are not always great.

Re: Black Cohosh to encourage labor?

Thanks ladies.

I've decided against it, as I'm only just now 39 wks, and I don't think I need to DO anything except wait on my baby/body to be ready.

However, if I make it to 40+4, I'll then start looking at NSTs and other junk to be "allowed" to homebirth - and at that point, I'll consider it again. But for now, baby and I are healthy and happy (though very uncomfortable) and there's just no point in pushing things faster than I need them to go. (But wow is that harder to say than to feel!)
