Re: Intestinal gas, already gave up dairy

It is so hard to see your LO in pain from gas! I dealt with this with DS1 until he was about 5 or 6 months old. I went on a total elimination diet, and just ate brown rice and grilled veggies for 3 weeks. And nothing changed. I started him on a probiotic around 5 months, and that instantly improved his tummy issues. I think he just had an immature digestive system. I started probiotics with DS2 when he was about 3 weeks old, and he sleeps so much better on the days I remember to give them to him! I didn't think it was supposed to be an instant fix, but it kind of seems to be... (or maybe it's completely psychological)

I was also going to suggest a probiotic also. We've had our LO on one since she was 4 weeks old and it seriously was an instant fix. One the days I forget to give it to her she is so super fussy. She has always had really bad gas and reflux.
I just put a little on my nipple before I feed her since she isn't on a bottle yet.

I found that chocolate made the gas issue worse for my DD ~ so . . . no chocolate for me at least for a while . . .

I'm new here, but I wanted to share ~

Well our issues were both gas as well as really kicking her reflux into overdrive. I'm not sure if that was from the gas or what.

But here's what I've found that I have to avoid otherwise she has a lot of discomfort:

Milk/ice cream
Chocolate
Carbonation
Citrus

If I keep those out of my diet, she doesn't even have reflux or much gas. But if I eat any of them more than like a bite she's miserable several hours later
